    • The commission oversees all those shiny yellow cabs. This is the place to go to file a complaint, report lost or stolen property, and to decipher the rate of fare system. In general, fare starts at $2.50 with $0.40 for each 1/5 of a mile or $0.20 per minute stopped or stuck in slow traffic, with additional surcharges depending on when you're traveling. It's a flat rate of $45 plus tolls.
